1) Introduction
We use cookies to make our services work, keep them secure, improve performance, and (where you allow) personalise content and measure marketing. We believe in transparency and control—so you can choose which non-essential cookies we use.
This policy applies to:
- www.emageafriq.com (main site)
- tickets.emageafriq.com (ticketing platform)
- any related EMAGE AFRIQ subdomains
- our mobile applications (if launched)
- other online services we operate
2) What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a website. They help websites work efficiently and can remember your preferences or recognise your device.
Cookies typically contain:
- a unique identifier
- the website/domain that created them
- an expiry date
- information about your settings or actions
Cookies do not usually store your name, email address, or payment details. However, cookie identifiers may be linked to personal information you provide (for example, if you create an account), as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Similar technologies
When we say “cookies”, we also mean similar tracking technologies such as:
- Pixels / web beacons (track whether content was viewed)
- Local storage / session storage (store information in your browser)
- SDKs in apps (analytics and feature delivery)
- Device identifiers/fingerprinting (used sparingly and only where appropriate)
3) How we use cookies
We use cookies for four main purposes:
A) Essential operations (always on)
- keep the site working (login, cart, checkout)
- maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse
- balance server load and protect performance
- store your cookie consent choices
B) Performance & analytics (optional)
- understand what pages/features are used
- find and fix errors
- monitor speed and stability
- test improvements (A/B testing)
C) Functionality & personalisation (optional)
- remember your language and region
- remember form entries and preferences
- support enhanced features (e.g., live chat where used)
D) Marketing & advertising (optional)
- measure advertising effectiveness
- show you EMAGE AFRIQ ads on other sites (remarketing)
- track conversions (e.g., ticket purchase after clicking an ad)
- support social referrals and campaign reporting
4) Types of cookies we use (categories)
We classify cookies into four categories:
4.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the website to function and are legally exempt from consent in many jurisdictions.
- Purpose: core functionality + security
- Consent: not required
- If blocked: parts of the site may not work (including checkout)
4.2 Performance & analytics cookies
These help us measure and improve the service.
- Purpose: analytics, troubleshooting, site improvement
- Consent: required
- If blocked: we lose insight into performance and user journeys
4.3 Functional cookies
These enable enhanced features and personalisation.
- Purpose: remember preferences and enable optional features
- Consent: required
- If blocked: preferences/features may not work or won’t be remembered
4.4 Targeting & advertising cookies
These help deliver and measure relevant ads.
- Purpose: advertising, conversion tracking, frequency capping
- Consent: required
- If blocked: you’ll still see ads, but they may be less relevant
Cookie duration
- Session cookies: deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies: stay until expiry or you delete them

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no universally adopted standard for how websites must respond. For that reason:
- we do not currently respond to DNT signals automatically
- we recommend using Cookie Settings and browser controls to manage tracking
10) Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect:
- changes in cookies used
